LAS VEGAS — A flood advisory has been declared by the National Weather Service in Las Vegas for Clark County and a segment of Southern Nevada.
The advisory was issued at approximately 2:44 p.m. and will remain in effect until 3:45 p.m.
According to NWS Las Vegas, the excessive rainfall has triggered flooding, particularly impacting areas with low elevation and inadequate drainage systems.
Officials have warned that certain low-water crossings might become inaccessible. The recent data from Doppler radar reveals intense rain resulting from thunderstorms. Within the advisory area, minor flooding is either ongoing or anticipated to commence shortly. The recorded rainfall measures between 0.5 and 1.5 inches.
